We Are the Change: Making the Year a Success

As the new school year begins and we welcome our kids back, we can’t help but worry and stress about how the new normal will look for them. Last year at this time, our kids were in the classrooms; now, many of our kids are at home learning virtually.

As a leader, teacher, and mentor, it’s a thought in our mind day in day out: how can I make this year as successful as possible for my kids? The sleepless nights, constant overthinking, and anxiety are all signs of a teacher who cares. It’s okay to feel that way. This is a rough time for our world. It’s like playing a sport; your goal is to win.

In this case, your goal is to be a great teacher and have all of your students succeed academically. The moment you, as a leader, display any weakness or fear, your team loses faith and begins to stress, and eventually breaks away from the intended goal.

At this given moment, the pressure on your shoulders might feel heavier than ever. It’s okay that leaders often take on battles that are unevenly matched. It’s a testament to the will of the leader. You’re not alone. Click To Tweet

We Are the Change: Preparing Our Future Leaders

Now more than ever, our kids need us! Nobody knows when things will get back to normal, but we accepted the battle. And by any means, we will continue the battle of preparing our future generation of leaders for success, one student at a time.

At this given moment, the pressure on your shoulders might feel heavier than ever. It’s okay that leaders often take on battles that are unevenly matched. It’s a testament to the will of the leader. You’re not alone. There is a world full of beautiful supporters who are here to cheer you on every step of the way.

The battle isn’t lost, but not quite won yet. Looking at our kids’ smiles every day is the drive we need for overcoming our obstacles. We need you, and they need you. There is someone just like you out there who needs you.

We will overcome and win, and our kids will have their best year yet.

Together, we are the change.
