Alex Calderon1st Gen Teacher Lens Podcast

Hi Y’all, we’re back with a brand new episode! We have a great guest, Tomara Hall, who is an Afro-Latina Educator from California. Tomara works as a Special Education Teacher in her state. She is also the founder of Teachers Empowering Youth Activists, or TEYA for short. TEYA is an organization of BIPOC and ally teachers that help their students and communities through activism. During this episode, we talk about racism within Latinx culture and promoting Afro-Latinx voices within the culture. I hope you enjoy the episode!
